Small but perfectly formed?

It's been quite a week...

We made it safely back home from the West Coast on Monday, with the help of a shovel and our kind Torridon neighbour Dominic.

We survived Gail taking photos out of the car window en route.

We even survived finding out that the boiler in Aberdeen had a broken motherboard, now thankfully fixed (cross paws). So we are now ready - and not before time, I hear you saying - to think about Christmas.

Our tree this year is small but perfectly formed. Just like me in fact.

  1. your tree has the pawfect size for WHFT. and we croos our paws for the boiler and all things we need when it is cold outside. btw: the mama took photos too while driving... Mr. gendarmerie said that are 80 bucks... he probably was angry that he wasn't in the photo...

    1. Gail says I should have mentioned that she did actually pull over into a passing place (on the single track road) and stop the car!

  2. All that snow looks beautiful Bertie, especially if it's viewed from somewhere cosy and warm !
That last photo would make a very nice Christmas card !

The hilltops are white out the Hutch's window again this morning - but not the proper powder stuff Gail caught in her lens; just that yukky slushy stuff that will disappear the minute it reaches minus one. You tree is just pawfect, Bertie! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx (who is still without heating as getting a man around here is problematic...)

  6. True...perfectly formed. Glad you managed to arrive home safely. And the 'driving' photos are gorgeous.

Looked up Murpurgo's take on magpies. You must have different ones. Ours carol and have a huge vocabulary. We still have all our little birds around as well.
AND, there's a dead magpie moldering away two houses down that the dogs have to be dragged away from.
