Last weekend at the Torridon cottage. I was checking out new growth in the garden when Gail called out, "Hey Bertie that would make a nice picture for the LLB gang's Nature Friday, you and the daffodil shoots. Your readers will be pleased to see that Spring is on the way here in NW Scotland."
So of course I obliged. Or so I thought. Only to hear an anguished cry.
Ho hum. And I thought that after nearly nine years of blogging I had this posing business cracked...
Pee-ess..
(Belated) congratulations to King! The fifteenth wire fox terrier to be crowned Top Dog in the USA.
Bertie we are glad that daffdodils were no snapdragons BOL... we are proud for King, but like the mama said, to create such a beard would cost her all fingers if she had tried that with her WHFT...
ReplyDeleteOops☺ We haven't seen daffodil leaves awakening here yet, Bertie. Congrats to King!

ReplyDeleteDaffodils are very resilient, Bertie lad, so dinnae worry aboot them. And "Hear hear!" to your second point! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Oh Bertie you make me laugh you are so nonchalant. When told to pose...one must be given explicit instructions i.e. right, left, back but NEVER on top!!
ReplyDeleteKing is a most handsome WFT...w/o a fur out of place; However, I like by WFTs to be outdoorys and not too worried about their furs, ears or WFT tail.
Hugs Cecilia
These things happen BOL! Our daffodils are starting to peak out too.Don't worry Bertie, we have sat on, and dug up, our share of daffies.

Rosy, Jakey & Arty
We think King would love to trade places with you for a day....rambling through the daffodils and mud...
ReplyDeleteAren't you just the sweetest! Oops on the daffs - I think it was the instructions you were given, not specific enough!
ReplyDeleteThat would make a great title for a sequel to Please don't eat the daisies - Please don't sit on the daffodils!!! We don't think we have to worry about sitting on any flowers for a while to go - we got about five inches of snow today and it is a whopping 14 degrees out there!!!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
It would be nice to have some daffodils to sit on. We got a sudden snow and thunder storm
ReplyDeletehugs
Hazel & Mabel
Oh Bertie, you aren't suppose to sit on the flowers ever.
ReplyDeleteOoops! We bet some of those daffodils will survive your butt. You are so lucky to have signs of spring popping up already. We are heading into a cold spell and our daffodils won't be seen for a couple of months at least.
ReplyDeleteOh Bertie! Your butt is so soft with your beautiful furs that I bet that Gail will be posting a photo of those Daffodils next week - at least I hope so. It isn't spring here yet so I love seeing it at your home!
ReplyDeleteWe think you nailed the pose. Good to see your breed rocking it!
ReplyDeleteSpring is on he way to your house? Oh, not here. It is still cold and snowy. Of course we love it but we don't know how much more mom can take. You did a great job posing so we hope you got treats!
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Another terrier win, woo hoo! Did the daffodils feels good on your bee-hind? Xena

Haahaaa heee heee THe first post I see in a squillion years is you sitting on daffodils I am so happy that all my sister and my education to you has continued so well I had a football injury and tore my ACL in my right knee (football can be rough) in the summer I didn't have surgery but it is healing and I get to go around when I am tired in a stroller This rules because I am king of the hill!
