One of these statements is correct...

Overheard in the park the other day:

Young child, pointing at me: "Mum, look over there - that’s the cutest dog in whole world."

Mother: "That’s an Airedale, Jonny."

Oh if only I had a lamb bone for every time I’ve been called an Airedale…

  2. Oh, poor Bertie - how annoying to be mistaken for an Airedale - you're not even the same colour. It must be the curly coat !
Amazing how many people ask my human if I'm a Labrador !

Bertie lad, I have some idea of what it is to be looked at and mis-identified. Folk just don't think to ask, and simply assume much. At least that kid had proper eyes on!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. You need more tan and more height to be an Airedale, Bertie. You are a much more handsome Wire!

  6. Dear Bertie: Gussied had those problems and more. One day some human asked Muzzer if he was a Stieff Terrier. An argument ensued, because muzzer told the person that those were stuffed animals. Said person assured the muzzer that he had seen the breed on TV but only managed to catch the end of the breed showing.

  7. Our boxers have been asked if they're pit bulls a lot. One idiot at a pet store thought Cinderella was a Rottweiler!!

  8. Bertie - Cheer up. If you'd visited Edinburgh they'd have called you a poodle.

  9. Well, that first one for sure is correct. Our Mom would have known the difference because she had a WFT many years ago, and we all know a number of Airdales, like Molly, Wyatt, Ruby, and more!!!

We want you to hear loud and clear that you ARE a most adorable and cute pup for sure!!!

I must tell you a funny story...back when my peeps were owned by Toto the Mighty Mini Dachshund they took him in for is first set of shots. The vet kept referring to Toto the might Male mini Dachshund as 'she'. When Sis and Mom got in the car Sis said to Mom, wonder where he went to vet school he doesn't know a she from a he!!

  16. Dear Bertie,

REALLY??? Perhaps a distant cousin, both being of the variety of terriers with the handsome noses. But still. That poor child's education!

    Licks,
    Cobi

Pee Ess I have twice been mistaken for a WOLF! One time the human was scared of me, and the other time the human got mad at my person for having a wolf in the city. To be clear, I am 37.5 pounds. A very small wolf indeed. So I understand being mis-labeled!

    1. I'll be honest with you Cobi I am a tad disappointed that no-one has ever mistaken me for a wolf.
