Should be an interesting vote. Must say, the promises being given, if Scotland stays, reminds me of when I left the telephone company and suddenly became a valued customer as they tried to woo me back.
It still annoying that I can vote in the UK parliamentary elections but can't vote in the referendum . Someone somewhere was canny enough to work out which way the Scots who live and work abroad would vote and it wasn't David Cameron.
When anyone expresses surprise that I have a vote despite being born and raised in England, I point out that I've lived in Aberdeen longer than any Scottish sixteen year old! I've several times read about concerns that, with things so close, 'the English' will decide the referendum, but I note the Mail has gone one better today: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2746440/German-residents-vote-Ja-independence-hold-key-breaking-Britain.html. Gail.
Change for change sake isn't always the best thing. People often forget the overall cost of change, new postage stamps, money, letterheads, signs, rules and regulations. It will affect every business in some way and cost them money instead of making money
We are with you Bertie. They will live to regret a yes vote economically if nothing else. We will wait and see. Have a tremendous Thursday. Best wishes Molly
I will wait and see what will happen. I hope they will make the best decision for your country. Some people here are very excited and see it as a sign to fight on for our autonomy too.
We did notice that now the vote appears to be close, it's making our local newspaper. Also, that the PM all of a sudden is emotional about the issue. Kind of like the neglected wife that keeps telling her husband, I'm going to leave you if you don't start paying attention to me...then he is all surprised and upset when she starts packing her bags. But baby I love you...don't leave me! Opinion by Pam, keeper of the wee Scottie girls.
Howdy Bertie. It will be interesting that's for sure. Have a grreat weekend and we must say, we LOVE your header photo. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
Hello Handsome!!! My assistant is back...so I'm trying to catch up. They did see a newspaper while away about the vote coming up. Better together is a great slogan. WE LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR NEW HEADER. Have you and Gail been to visit Human GMa? Hugs madi your bfff
I like your new header too, You both look very content! I haven't the info to make. a good comment on the election but this thought about "what you know is better than what you don't know" keeps running through my thoughts. Cheers, Jo, Stella and Zkhat
First there was Hamish the Westie. Then there was Bouncing Bertie. Now we have new WFT puppy Nobby. Will he be Nice Nobby or Naughty Nobby? Watch this space!
