Not on

It's really not good enough is it?

Does your human do this?

Go swanning off to the capital city for a couple of days, leave you at home, and return with a photo featuring a dog as if that were adequate recompense?

It clearly would have been appropriate to take me along.

There was plenty of room for a well-behaved wire-haired fox terrier in the Caledonian Sleeper compartment.

Oh to have dined at Café Spice with Gail's godson Ben and his lovely girlfriend Robyn.

And then, no conference venue is quite grand enough if a dog is not present.

Maybe I could have had a ride on the London Eye too.

Or thrown a snowball at a politician.

Oh and talking of politics, Gail and I are both so glad to see that something useful was being delivered to Downing Street this week (read carefully...)

  1. This made us laugh and wag. And, Bertie, next time Gail travels to London, she must take you. You've made cogent arguments here.

    Keep on wagging,
    Tootsie
P.s. Ben and Robyn are GORGEOUS!

  6. That would have been a very nice trip to go on Bertie. I'm sorry that Gail didn't take you with her. You really would have loved all the sightseeing to be done there. My Mommy said she'd be happy to go with Gail if you can't make it next time.

  9. My assistant does this to me EVERYDAY! Takes a train into the city to her so-called job while I am left home ALONE.

Throwing snowballs at politicians does sound like loads of fun!

  10. Bertie OMDs
I think there should be demerits issued each time we are left 'because dog/cats are not allowed' blah blah blah!! Of course there was plenty of room for you on the sleeper...surely Gail could have managed fine on the floor and I know Ben would have loved for you to meet his lovely Robyn!! Geez how are you supposed to approve family members from afar?

Gail Mom says Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures of the buildings inside and out

  13. I can't believe you were cruelly abandoned! How horrible. I hope you gave Gail a good talking-to when she got home.

  14. Sounds like your mum had a good visit down to London. The sleeper train sounded fun and such a good and easy way to get there...no planes for one thing!

  15. OMD do you suppose they could send an EVEN BIGGER truck to Washington,D.C.????

Bertie I do believe that you are going to have to orchestrate a SIT DOWN Discussion with Gail. She is obviously in need of some MAJOR Training. We can NOT believe that she cast you aside in such a hideous manner. That she deprived all those NEEDY folks of YOUR presence. This is deplorable. Gail has gotten totally out of control.

  16. BOL! Love that last photo....although fresh ideas seem to get bogged down in feasibility studies..etc.

Bertie, we cannot find a single reason why you could no have accompanied Gail. There's something not right about this whole trip.

  19. Hahaha...loved the last picture, Bertie.
As you see, London is a "rush" city - no brakes. It's probably better to have been allowed the opportunity to stay at home and smell the roses. Hope Gail had a good time and put all those scientists on the right track.
