You are all so kind...

Gail and I just want to say thank you to all our readers for your incredibly kind and supportive comments over the past few difficult days and weeks. We are now safely back in Aberdeen, the early mornings in the park, though frosty, are still our favourite time of day, my paws are in tip top condition, and I'm pleased to report that Gail is taking the advice of a wise relative, who told her the best possible tonic is a long walk with the dog followed by a nice glass of wine...

An unexpected gift from my sweetheart!

Oh you will not believe it, but a parcel for me arrived in the post last week.

I could tell it was from someone special the minute I laid eyes - or perhaps I should say nose - on it.

Who else but my darling Addi could have thought to send me this wonderful orang utang (one of the most intelligent of primates)? Such an appropriate gift! I shall treasure it for ever and ever.

Oh Addi, my sweetheart, I know you are a long way away, but I hope you can see these messages.

If only Addi could be here with me...
