If “bumpy” best describes your year,
Like the Queen's, and you wish things were merrier,
Like the Queen's, and you wish things were merrier,
Here’s a message of hope and good cheer
From your favourite wire-haired fox terrier…
What do I do when I see a bump?
Do I halt in my tracks? No, no, no!
I bounce and I skip and I jump,
And joyfully onwards I go!
If your road this year has been smooth,
Then pause and give thanks, you are blessed.
To ALL friends, Happy Christmas to you,
And I wish you peace, love, and the rest.
Yay Bertie, great poem. If last year was bumpy, you may have to put on your seatbelt. We think next year might be bumpier! But forget all that, and have a very Merry Christmas with lots of treats!

ReplyDeleteBertie lad, you brought a smile this sunny morn
to a heart that has been a little bit worn
Nothing beats a bit of dog-fun and cheer
so I send you good wishes and on to next year!!!
Hugs and wags, and Much Love to you and Gail, YAM-aunty xxx
A very Happy Christmas to you and Gail.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bertie, that's lovely sentiment.
Human and I (or should that be me?) are just back from a quick walk in gorgeous sunshine - and it's warm!
My human is starting to get ready for her Christmas lunch with friends, and I shall have to stay and hold the fort (sigh). However I have been assured that there will be treats on hand to help me while away the hours until she returns.
Love,
Inca xx
Hi Inca
DeleteApparently I too am shortly to be abandoned when Gail goes to lunch with friends. Sigh...
Enjoy your treats.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Love your message, Bertie. Merry Christmas to you and Gail!
ReplyDeleteBertie my handsome and wise WFT...what a lovely message for this Christmas Day.
ReplyDeleteI do hope Gail has returned from her Christmas Dinner with friends and she brought you something yummy
Hugs Cecilia
Merry Christmas Bertie and Gail. Wishing you both all the best for 2020, as Bertie bounces, skips and jumps into the next decade!

Wishing you both all the best for a smooth 2020. May it be the start of less roaring (Lady says the politicians of the world roar too much).
ReplyDeleteBertie-
ReplyDeleteThat is very sound terrier advice. Everybody and every doggy encounters a few bumps along the road of life! May your year ahead be smooth sailing and free of major bumps!!
Love,
Wyatt and Tegan
I agree with my pal Wyatt, very sound terrierist advice. You knows we terrier's gots the bestest jumpin' leggies in all of Dogdom! BOL!!
ReplyDeleteI hopes the New Year has very few bumps and lots of smooth roads with lots of purty scenery....and maybe some stinky stuffs to roll in...
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
We hope you had a lovely holiday! We have been happy to tag along virtually on some of your beautiful walks and hope to see more in the new year!
