Flower Friday: Azaleas galore!


When one thinks of colour in reference to my home city Aberdeen, I'm afraid the phrase that comes most readily to mind is 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. ..

But thankfully, every May/June in our Hazlehead Park the Azalea Garden bursts into life, and us poor colour-deprived Aberdonians can for a few short weeks enjoy the sort of vibrant and glorious display which those of you in sunnier climes might take for granted.

To celebrate our friend Rosy's 'Flower Friday', it is my privilege to take you on a visit to Hazlehead.

    Bertie OMCs OMCDs we don't think we've ever seen glorious yellow azaleas until we took the tour with you. What a technicolor of beauty you have at Hazelhead!! Are the large green leaves from Hosta Plants?

    Dear Bertie,

    Thank you for your wishes about my paw. I went on a Walk today and it was mostly fine. At least that is what I am telling my person. Puss? What puss. I don't see any puss.

    Those are very big flower bushes. Did anyone pee on them? That always makes flowers even better!

    Oh Bertie, those blooms are most beautifuls!!! I thinks you should take your doggie bed there and camp out ~ then you won't miss a second! (you might have to lets Gail share your beds though ☺)
