Gail replies: In England, Halloween has only relatively recently become widely celebrated, and is considered a bit of an American import. Guy Fawkes night on 5th November was always the big event this time of year when I was a child. So I was surprised to learn, on moving to Scotland, that here there is a long tradition of 'Trick or Treating', which all my Scottish friends enjoyed as children.
That sure was a lot of dirt left behind in the tub there.... But Mom can totally understand why you got the bath. You couldn't wear your beautiful Count Dracula cape if you were dirty. We hope that you and Addi have a great time trick or treating for bones!
Bertie, I just love your minimalist outfit. The bath, however, I am certain has done the trick. You look like a chocolate box dog! Enjoy Halloween. Lotsaluv from your friends in SA
Howdy Bertie, we would prefer the dirt too. Makes you smell so interesting. Your costume is very manly. Count Bertie has a nice ring to it. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
Your Dracula, well no wonder you didn't answer your door you were taking a bath! Did you get a little dirty getting out of your coffin? Thanks for being a friend Sweet William The Scot
Bertie, your cape is actually quite becoming on you. I am sure Addi will appreciate it. I hope you had a lovely evening, but I am a bit nervous, because I just read on Jazzis post that the green tank is out. I will hope for the best.
Personally, we think Addi would have preferred the dirt and Bertie essence...but humans have no appreciation.
ReplyDeleteWe're sure Addi will love your cape.
Don't know why Halloween never caught on here in Oz. Basically, it was the same ethnic make up of immigrants as the US.
