Declaring a Royal Wedding-free zone

Whenever you feel you have had enough of reading about William and Kate, or in fact about the antics of any other members of the Royal Family (who, from a strictly scientific perspective, we might consider as a warning against the perils of too narrow a gene pool..... what's that Gail, why ever are you looking at me with raised eyebrows and muttering the words 'pot', 'kettle' and 'black'?) well anyway, please remember you can always find respite from all the monarchist brouhaha by visiting this blog, which I absolutely and faithfully promise will remain a resolutely wedding free zone...

And yes, we have had yet more snow in Scotland this week. It's SO complicated, this arrival of Spring business.
Back to work on my paper...

  2. Well, Bertie, after we told you a couple of weeks ago that 'March and April are often our rainiest months' we've been in the 80's (F). Supposed to rain this weekend. But that "Spring" scent of Jasmine/orange is in the air.

You look very sharp on that snowy ledge.

  3. We're trying to be wedding free, but alas, it's difficult.

Snow again, it is a complication to your Spring observations.

  4. YES!! We are with you on that one Bertie. All this hullabaloo about royals marrying is just silly to us. Who cares?? Ya know Airedales are known as the king of terriers and everytime one of us mates up you don't hear a stink about that!! Just sayin'. Okay, glad to get that off our chests. Looks like Spring is still a bit away from you there in Scotland. We skipped Spring here in Phoenix and went right to Summer: It was 92 degrees here on Wed.!Sheesh!!!
    Happy St.Paddy's Day!

  6. Over here in the US we're still not over Charles and Diana's wedding and that was way before I was born. And we are a nation that just said "No" to royalty right out of the box. I wonder if you put it to a vote here and now if we'd vote it back in. Humans, go figure!

  7. We know we can keep our blog wedding free for a while, but our house might be a different story. Our Mom and Dad got married the same year as Prince Williams parents so she is kinda interested in what goes on in their family.

  10. hey Bertie,

Oh. My. Dawg! You are living in my Heaven! Mountains and snow! That is what I dream of every day. Lucky pup!

A Royal Wedding free zone is a great idea. Although I am intrigued by how one becomes King, as I often feel I am King of my Pack, but my human seems to disagree on that.

  12. Hey Bertie,

We have your prince in New Zeland at the moment, so you are safe today as he's at least 12,000 miles away from you and your blog.

How many of your dog biscuits would you pay me to keep him here to stop any wedding taking place? We could hatch a plan together, as my mum (who is really old) remembers all the fuss around the Charles and Di's wedding and how so many people went mad over this royalty business.

  17. Alright Bertie, be a wedding free zone but you have to admit that of the Royals, Prince William seems like one of the more decent chaps and I love those perky little hats Kate wears on the side of her head. So I am not going to ignore them, I don't think! I bet if they got themselves a WFT pup, you would have a whole new story to tell.

    Cheers,

    Jo and Stella

  18. Doesn't look like you got too much snow: just enough to keep the walk brisk. We're finally getting some decent Spring weather [65-70] and we love it. No more coats! [That's mama; we never wear any coats except the ones God gave us.]

It's hard to avoid The Wedding, even over here, now that what passes for news seems to be half gossip. Mama would rather hear about The Wedding than Charlie Sheen. In fact, she'd like a totally Charlie Sheen free zone to surround her everywhere, like the old Get Smart Cone of Silence.

Looking forward to your scientific paper!

  26. Bertie. We have a real problem here. You see. Spring has not YET ARRIVED! We've had NO SNOW and that's become a real problem. There are already wildfires. Bad ones. Over 10.000 acres burned tonight ... 6000 homes were evacuated ... 8500 people were forced from their homes ... all less than two miles from our Rescue Angel PJ. The winds are blowing hurricane force and the air is too too dry. It's bad. And ... we want SNOW! And ... so far ... there's none in the forecast. What is happening to Spring?????

We are counting on you for answers. Do you do Snow Dances?

    xx

  27. Oops. Make that a 1600 acre fire. (Scientific and data driven pups that we are, we wanted to correct Moma's slippery fingers.)
