Since I didn't get to meet Donald Trump on the beach walk last week (more's the pity),
I pretended this green egg box was him instead.....
Quite an art work, n'est ce pas? Do you think the Tate might be interested?
Feeling so much better after this spot of imagined dismemberment, I accompanied Gail on a lovely - although damp - excursion up Millstone Hill, one of old Hamish's favourite haunts (click to biggify).
Wooos Bertie! That looked like a very good job woo did on the egg crate.. Did woo eat any eggs too. Nice place fur a walkie, can I come over? it is too hot here.

Good job on the egg crate - at first glance we thought you had sneaked across the Pee and landed on our bathroom floor!

Bertie that looks quite a walk to the top, and a lovely view.

Hello Bertie!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a fine job on the egg crate, only wish it could have been The Donald (what one of his former wives called him!)
You asked what this HEAT is that we complain about. Its when your 70 F goes up to 90 F or in between. Just too hot.Turn on the oven, leave the door open and stand in front of it a while until you think your whiskers are gonna singe. Thats hot stuff and we are weary of it by this time.
Come join us, Bertie, won't you?
Kisses,
Stella
That looks like a wonderful entertainment. My Grandpa Angus was a champion shredder too. Must be a terrier thing, eh?
ReplyDeleteHope your forced march, er, walk, was not too long for your wee little leggies.
Slobbers,
Mango
Yes well good to see you are progressing on your lessons and have mastered "shredding things to pieces" 101. For other ideas to work on try newspaper, important papers, mail and of course the one that gets a lot of discussion once done, books.... You are really progressing at quite a nice pace..Love A+A
ReplyDeleteYou showed that egg carton! Maybe you'd better send Trump a picture, so he knows what he's messin' with.
ReplyDeleteThat walk looks like so much fun...so much to sniff.
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
Mum keeps pointing out how clean you keep yourself even after hikes out in the wilds of Scotland/UK/Wales/Ireland and why can't we keep ourselves with some semblence of tidiness in just one State (of Oregon)? We told her you use "White Out" typewriter correction fluid to keep yourself brilliantly white. Work with us here or there are more baths in our future.

Hey Bertie
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you are now able to go on all those beautiful walks....I think you have the longest legs in the business! Perfect for walking!
Sending lotsaluv

Berti
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the egg crate. That Trump dude should be scared if....he ever meets up with you!!!
I see you like your big pillow. Was that the one Hamish didnt like?? And...what cool walks!!!

Bertie, just arrived from Maxmom's blog! Read your comment about older dogs not liking to be approached by a rocket on paws? What's the deal with that? You look like you'd be a huge amount of fun!
ReplyDeleteBertie - is that mist in the background of those hill walk photos? In August?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job you did on the egg crate! You sure do live in a beautiful country!
ReplyDeleteAire-hugs,
Penny & Patches
Darstadly destruction Bertie. Now do that again. Remember. Practice makes perfect.
ReplyDeleteLookie at you at the top of the hill Bertie. Though really should you be out in the rain? It's usual to refuse to go outside let alone go walkies when it's wet. Do be careful you don't shrink your nice newly grown self. And. Yikes!! Your lug 'oles might come unstuck. Let alone your furs frizz....
Worried ...Uncle E xxx
Dear stiff legged made of springs little pal,
ReplyDeleteYes, my life is indeed hard at times. I am glad you can appreciate that. As for the laughing human. That is so sad. Even my own momma laughs at my misfortune at times. How can they be so cruel?
Slobbers,
Mango
Bertie, don't tell the others I said this but I do believe you may be the handsomest of the WFTs, with your red head and glossy black spot. Shhhh! It will be our little secret.
ReplyDeleteYour Uncle Petey
You go girl!
ReplyDeleteWe will now and forever more think of a green egg box, well dealt with by our favourite nephew, whenever we see Donald Trump!!!!
ReplyDeletexx
ps pretty collage!
Just had to leave a comment after stumbling onto your Hamish Blog by accident. He was a very handsome chappie and I enjoyed browsing through his escapades.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that he isn't with you anymore.
We have Shona who is 13 at the end of October (we've had her since she was 8 weeks old). She still bounces around being a typical Westie but recently alarmed us as we found that she seemed to have gone suddenly deaf .. quick visit to Vet but nothing to see, temp okay and no visible signs to show why ... Vet slightly baffled by it but we put it down to her age. Happy to say that a week and a half later she seemed to regain some hearing .. Impressed with the Vet who had investigated and phoned out of the blue the day we thought she could hear us and said it might be an inner ear infection .. Options .. MRI Scan or try a course of antibiotics .. so she is part way through a 3 week course of tablets and it seems to be doing the trick. I think it upset us more than it did Shona.
Bertie looks lovely and I can see why you've called him Bouncing Bertie with those long legs.
I'm looking forward to reading about his escapades and viewing the breathtaking scenery in your part of the world.
