Flatten Bertie..oh you are such a funny WFT. I recently signed up for ebooks with Barnes and Noble...I'm on the fence so far. I still love having a book in my paws and the lovely new book smell in my nose. Of course I'm not reading anything quite that heavy. Hugs Cecilia
Well, Bertie, that's quite a tome. I hope Gail can speed read. In the alternative, I suggest she provide more delicious, high protein treats, to keep up your strength.
BOL - Flat Bertie would not be a good thing. Our Mom loves her kindle app. She gets library books on it and buys some too. She can multitask too - reading, doing her exercises, and petting us. But we aren't on her lap:)
Ha ha ha ha! After using a kindle for years, I have trouble holding up a book for reading in bed. And none of my dogs are as helpful as you are, Bertie, in propping up the book.
Ma has a kindle and loves it, butts she does miss the new book smell ☺ She is lucky you are so accommodating, I wouldn't be so still! BOL! Kisses, Ruby ♥
First there was Hamish the Westie. Then there was Bouncing Bertie. Now we have new WFT puppy Nobby. Will he be Nice Nobby or Naughty Nobby? Watch this space!
I have to double as a book rest too sometimes. And she wonders why I chew books.
ReplyDeletethe mama bought a book rest for her reader... but it is a plush toy (a snowman lol) and so reading becomes very special LOL
ReplyDeleteYou might still be used as a bookrest even if Gail gets a Kindle, but at least it will be lighter!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to add bookrest to your CV!
Love,

ReplyDeleteWell, Bertie lad, you are saving Gail a few pennies, as book rests can be a pricey item!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Flattened Bertie would not be a good thing! I've never been used as a book rest - yet.
ReplyDeleteNot a bookrest, but I'm a regular arm rest when Momma's sewing.
ReplyDeleteWe think Gail should get smaller books or invest in a Kindle so you don't get flattened. You do look content to be napping on her lap though.

ReplyDeleteGail is not a speed reader, so I am awaiting my high protein treats....
DeleteWow, you are the best book rest ever! And such a heavy book too...are you sure you are not a working breed Bertie? Because that looks like hard work!
ReplyDeleteKiki and Rosie
Wow Bertie...what a multi-faceted guy you are!

Just keep moving....she may get the hint.
ReplyDeleteWell, you can add this duty to your resume.

That is some heavy reading.
