Needed in India?

I was chomping my way through my kibble last Saturday morning when I heard this on the radio:

"The England tail failed to wag".

Maybe some of my readers are unaware that England's cricket team is currently touring in India, and that they lost the most recent game against the host nation.

Anyway, it seems this business of the non-wagging tail contributed to the defeat.

I am thinking perhaps I should fly out there right away and give 'our boys' the benefit of my expertise in this area.

What do you think?

Oh, it seems that some pup has beaten me to it...

Or maybe not. I didn't see much tail wagging going on there.

Now which is the quickest way to Mumbai?

After the weather in Aberdeen this week I could do with some warmth...

  1. Oh no - don't go out to India Bertie, you've got to be here to accept the accolades that are coming your way after your fantastic Phe-eD thesis. The England team will just have to muddle through without your help.
It does look cold up there though, glad you have a warm coat to wear. Blue suits you.

  2. Don't go out to India Bertie - it is very hot there and a long way to travel. But a warm winter woolie would be good. It looks colder where you live than it is here and I thought it was chilly in Yorkshire. Nose licks and love from Moth xx

  3. Bertie: After living in Arizona for more than 30 years, our muzzer recommends colder climes, not warmer. Remember, you can always put on more layers, but there is a limit to how many you can take off.

  4. maybe you can do some magic rituals from a distance to bring good luck to your team? like wearing red gloves or drinking only water from pink bottles or eating bones only from left to right...

Bertie lad - I am off to Mumbai right after Hogmanay, so as to skip most of the winter! One can fly from Edinburgh, which is most convenient. Bear in mind that it is winter there too... and can actually get down into single figure temperatures, so a light jacket is worth packing. Sadly I will not be able to attend any cricket matches whilst there...

My goodness though lad, I can't quite believe the boating pond was frozen hard enough to support ice hockey... that's serious!!! Ought you not to be almost permanently dressed in your Fair Isle sweater now??? Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
