Is it a sheep or a rock?

I am sure regular readers who saw my last post will be relieved to learn that Gail and I are not planning to abandon hill walking for mall walking any time soon.

On Sunday we summited (is that really a verb?) Clachnaben in Aberdeenshire. It was a grey day, and boy was it windy at the top, but the autumn colours were still looking pretty, especially when set against my own varicoloured furs.

However, in my opinion the photos below are somewhat disfigured by the fact that I am wearing my 'flexi' walking string. Gail deemed this necessary due to sheep grazing at random locations along the route.

I might add that many of the objects Gail thought were sheep turned out, on closer inspection, to be rocks.

Perhaps kind friends could remind a certain person that a visit to the optician is overdue.

    1. I wanted to go up there but Gail said it was too windy and the rocks too slippery. Isn't she a wimp these days?

First of all what a beautiful hiking path.
Gail might need glass if she thinks a rock is a sheep but my mom has tunnel vision..all she see is that fine as wine WFT precious tail working hard. Oh and did you know we felines are in the midst of celebrating TockTober...which is all about but(TOCK) shots and how fluffy they are. You are doing a major TockTober
    photo session today.

  5. Bertie! A flex-lead is a small price to be paid for a walkie that lovely! And if Gail gets glasses, she might find all your hiding places, so maybe you should hold off on the Opti whatever?

  12. Dear Bertie, I use to have a flex leash like that, but I pulled enough so it snapped and I got to run free. Just an idea in case you come across really sheep.

  14. Really amazing shots, Bertie! Love the rock paths - also are those ferns growing along the path?

P.S.: To answer your question, my assistant calls this time of year autumn though most of the locals around us call it fall. She likes to be different.
