FFHT September - apologies

Oh dear I do believe I shall have to send my apologies to my Dood pals Murphy and Stanley this month.

You know, I so enjoyed taking part in their 'Fractured Fryday Hairy Tales' events in July and August. They really were super good fun, and everyone's stories just grrrreat.

But this time I don't think I can do it.

You see, the task is to write something including the phrase 'Just when I thought things couldn't get worse'.

All my friends will know by now that I had a perfectly horrid real life experience last weekend.

Oh it has just been too hard for me, this week of all weeks, to conjure up a narrative about things getting worse.

Right now, I only want to think happy thoughts.

I want to think about sunshine, lamb shank bones, cuddles with Gail, trips to the park, my tank-loving girlfriend Addi, games on the beach, mountain expeditions, comfy sofas, more lamb shank bones, more cuddles, and a world in which everything just gets better and better.

I am trying my best to be brave, I really am.

I do hope Murphy and Stanley will understand.

As others have remarked, you have had your share of the worse and cuddles and happy thoughts are definitely the way to go... that and perhaps reading others' tales for a giggle. Here's pawing that you are back on writing form for the October FFHT! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  11. we agree Bertie - at the moment you need just to think of all the good things in life and getting back to being 100% so the adventures can begin again

  12. Oh, Bertie, you are such a young, strong boy I am certain you will be healed and well before you know it. Pawsitive thinking is always a help, too, However I think the trauma, of the fight itself will stay with you long after your wound has healed and your hair grows back, You ill need to work on your self-confidence until it is as over-the-top as it was before the battle!

  27. oh Bertie! You poor poor pup, I can tell that you is feeling very sorry for yourself and rightly so. I do hope you heal well and that it doesn't leave any emotional scars for your and Gail, what a scary thing to be attacked, and by a sort of pal too.

Lamb shanks seem like very good medicine. I is sure Gail forgave you for biting her right away. You know Auntie Penny bit mum once too, Mum was running a bath with hot water and Auntie Penny jumped in it and started screaming. Mum grabbed her to pull her out but in her panic she bit Mum. Mum just felt bad for Penny though.

Oh, yes, I is very glad I will not need a passport to visit Scotland. TND said we were not going on holiday there anymore if it be a 'yes'. He used to live in Aberdeen too and still has lots of friends there.
