Please take me with you. PLEASE?

Yes it is that time of year again. Gail is going cycling in France with her friends, and heartlessly confining me to 'camp' for ten days.

Rumour has it she has also arranged a rendezvous with a certain Bicontinental Dachshund and her family at the end of the trip, which I am also going to miss.

Humph.

Normal service will resume on this blog in a couple of weeks.

  1. Poor Bertie. Absence makes the heart grow fonder though and I bet Gail needs the break. On the plus side she will probably be racked with guilt and bring you a nice present!

  2. UNFAIR!!! That's our opinion Hope Gail has her winter woolies, Tootsie always seems to be in the mountain snow!

We hope she visits the PONs, too.

  3. OMD Bertie you have been deserted? What can we do to make you happy while Gail is away? We will send you some mud to roll in and some squirrels to chase. Will that ease the pain? Have a great break. Have a fabulous Friday.
    Best wishes Molly

  7. Bertie, my dearest doggy godson, look at it this way... Dachshund Daddy went to Budapest without me and got to meet Asta and her family. Now Gail is going to France without you and gets to meet me and my family. Next thing you know, some other fur parent(s) will come over to Aberdeen without their furkid(s) and will get to meet you and Gail. You see, what goes around comes around. In the meantime...

    Keep on wagging,
    Tootsie

  8. Isn't that what dog baskets are for ? We are sure you could go with her although it would be pretty boring just sitting in basket for hours on end

  9. This is a HORROR... we can NOT believe that Miss Gail will dump you in CAMP while she goes out and about and meets YOUR furends... in the furs.
There WILL be punishment when she returns. RIGHT?

  10. Bertie,
Me thinks that Gail should maybe invest in a basket for her bike, especially fitted for your comfort! That way, you'd be able to visit France with her, and see Tootsie too! Oh well, erm, enjoy (?) camp...
Hope Gail has a fine time in Frogland!

Well, on the one paw I am greatly excited for Gail to be getting this wonderful break. On the other paw, I am distressed that my dear Bertie is distressed. On the third paw, there will surely be silver among the clouds of separation...

...wait...do I have a third paw? Safe holidays BOTH!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  15. Bertie, how unfair that you doesn't get to go!
I commend your use of Wordworth too, great minds and all that.
I has so beed there with the agility in the rain thing. In fact my first placing came in the pouring down rain and I beed so soggy I had to actually pay attention to Mum! hehe.
Also, I has been having problems leaving comments apparently. Mum thought something was up because it has not been saying 'your comment has been saved' lately the comment just disappears. We just went back and looked on the wedding post, which we tried to comment on and it wasn't there. A bit of a 'google' told Mum that her cookies were turned off for some reason and apparently you need them on to leave comments. So I might have been a bit silent lately! Stupid Mum!

Anyway, enjoy your camp and I hope Gail enjoys hers!
