  17. That sure was a complicated activity. All the fussing about. Wouldn't they just have had as much fun with a good roll in the mud?

  22. Oh what fun Bertie, we so loved the pic of you covered in mud! That is just the best feeling in the world. Now if you get down and roll in it you will look and smell even better! It reaches the parts that even you can't reach.
As for Bonnie being overdressed, you really must not pass comment on such things Bertie. Not all girls will take that as well as Bonnie.
We can't wait to see you all wind surfing!!!

  23. What a great gang you've got there!

Looks like the perfect team for a day of adventure.

That post has made us think there should be a Bertie comic to chronicle your exploits.

I agree though, it doesn't look much like 'ice cream weather'.

    Love and licks, Winnie

  27. Bertie mate! I noticed you too were confused about Bart @ Rottrover and him being the most interesting dog! Bunny at Tales & Tails has kindly sent me this link... it all stems from an advert...

Too bad you had to give up on your view at the very end :)

  29. Gail throws her bike down in the mud?! Or did you 'accidentally' knock it over so you could get to the saddle bags with the snacks? So how many miles did you run? Looks like you all kept up really well, even the little dogs. But poor Bonnie could overheat running in that life jacket. Maybe she could get Mike to save it for water-related activities? Anyway, looks like you and Gail have a fun new joint activity. Get your pet passport ready, Bertie. No excuses for leaving you behind next year when Gail cycles on the Continent.

    1. We are pleased to reassure you that Bonnie only wore the lifejacket for the first mile of the six mile outing. And that the temperature was only about 40 F and it was windy and raining (as usual...) Gail.

  31. Ah Bertie, your idea of biking looks alot more fun than mine, stuck in a wicker basket on the handlebars. Then again...I do get the best view, a nice breeze, and have to exert very little energy. (And often there is ice cream at the final destination. Must insist Gail provides proper refreshments ,)

We're very sad here today for our friends who we've never met, never seen, and in the case of "the font" whose name we don't even know. Yet we love them and share their grief, as we did when Hamish went on to his next journey. What a magical, unexplainable bond we dog bloggers share.
