Muddy paws etiquette

If you should happen to step in a Scottish bog:

Then the correct procedure is to find a wee lochan* with clear water and a stony base, and wash your paws off before jumping all over your favourite human.
Believe me, they prefer 'wet and clean' to 'wet and muddy'!

  2. Bertie - On the way back to the car it's quite easy to go from wet and clean to wet and muddy.

  3. Wet and clean is preferable--but we usually get muddy getting back to the car, or house.

  5. That is so considerate of you Bertie. I just come in with the muddy paws and leave prints on the hallway BUT I do not to jump on her with muddy feet, I learned that the hard way!! bol

  6. What about when the "jumpee" is not your mom, but a stranger met on the way home, a stranger wearing clean white pants?

  8. After stepping out of the small loch, just get in that grass, flip over on your back and allow the sun to dry your feeties, Bertie. I don't like dirty wet feets, or wet, wet feets. You might want to carry a towell with you.

    Cheers,
    Stella

  12. Hi Bertie, must have been a day for muddy paws. I ran inside with mud and made a fabulous pattern all over the carpet which wasn't appreciated at all! Sheesh. Can't please everyone I suppose. Hope your weekend is fine. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  13. I think I got it. Walk on mud, walk on furniture, walk in water.
Or was it walk on furniture, walk in water, walk on mud?

    I'm working on it.

Wow, so that's what I've been doing wrong all this time! No wonder my peeps have been grouching and screaming at me so much. Hmmmmm. I thought they'd be proud of my hard yard work.

  17. LOL, so adorable! I wish we had a wee loch to wash our feet in Our yard is just a big puddle, but walking through it only makes you muddier. The Mama doesn't seem to appreciate that much.
